Hii,
I had deep kissing exporsure and we where drunk.we have bleeding gums.does being drunk affect the saliva production.and saliva doesn't neutralize the blood orhiv because of less production of saliva during that time she had even vomited prior to kissing.do I have to test because I have this fear for some months.is it true that some have got infected through deep kissing with blood?
Thankyou

Jim Allen:
Hiya,

What you posted isn't an HIV concern. Move on with your life.

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms, and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Jim

Please can you explain my doubts for clarification..
Thankyou

Jim Allen:
Nothing to explain.

I read your post thee times and have provided an assesment.

The mouth is a hostile environment. Saliva and air break down the receptors next to a number of other barriers, and some blood commonly will happen during activities like kissing, yet nobody has acquired HIV this way.

Vomiting or drinking beforehand, doesn't 100% deplete the mouth of saliva tor the barriers and never has made any difference.

Please don't post about this again, move on with your life, use condoms for any intercourse, no exceptions and as you are sexually active, test out of standard routine yearly for HIV & easier to acquire STIs.

Thankyou for your response.so deep kissing of any type regardless of the duration and anything into the mix is safe ?
