Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

hi,

i gave a guy a handjob and want to know what is the risk of getting HIV from having his cum on my hands? I did have a recently popped small blister on the back of my finger and not sure if it came into contact with it.

I also briefly inserted a finger in him and it was a little slimy (different hand).

You cannot contract HIV from handjobs, given or received blisters or no blisters. Nor can you contract HIV from fingering someone else's arsehole.

HIV is transmitted via unprotected anal and vaginal sex, sharing contaminated needles and syringes and in some cases from an HIV positive mother to her unborn baby.

You do not need to be tested for HIV.

Hi, i am aware HIV cannot be passed on by oral sex but do i need to get tested as the tip of my penis touched an anus? There was no penetration, I'm sure i would have known if there was. Thank you in advance.

It's a rule of the site that members must keep all of their entries in the same thread. Your posting are all together here now and this is the only thread you should use. Thanks for your cooperation.

As to your new concern, once again you are worried unnecesarily. Your penis touching the other guy's anus without penetration is not a risk for HIV. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse.

You don't have to get tested for HIV.

You do need to remember that other STDs are much easier to transmit than HIV. We advise anyone who is sexually active to at least annually if not every 6 months to have a full STD panel done to make certain you haven't picked anything up.
