Update on Partner
« on: October 29, 2008, 01:49:23 am »
Hello everyone ,

First I wanted to send a big thank you for the information regarding my question about I.R.I.S being the source of my partners severe itching. The doctor was willing to see him on Monday, and she believes it is I.R.I.S, she has ordered a biopsy to rule out the possibility of reaction to antibiotics or other subclinical infections. We also got the results of his first lab tests since starting Atripla on Sept 10th. The viral load which was over 500,000 is now undetectable, and his T-cells have jumped from 14 to 138. This was our first of many hurdles, but it sure felt good to see such a drastic improvement.  Thanks for all your suggestions.

Wow that is quite the improvement regarding his numbers!  I hope they find the problem causing the itching soon so he can have some relief.

   Good luck..
