Title: Belly Fat and Having a Colonoscopy

I understand that visceral belly fat surrounds the internal organs.  Since that is the case, has anyone with visceral belly fat had any issues when
undergoing a colonoscopy?  Even though doctors perform the majority of these procedures with no difficulties, I wonder
if the fat surrounding the intestines and other organs pose a special caution. I suspect that the doctor must be extra careful when inserting
the flexible tube and camera as it makes it way through the intestines to avoid any punctures.

I have had several  procedures over the last few years and Dr never said any thing about a "problem" even when he went especially deep past the "big bend" ...if you are concerned be sure to get DR to answer your concerns....
