Time to go vegetarian ?

Ditch those dead animals in your fridge.

I've been kinda vegetarian (no red meat or the other white meat) for 25+ years, mainly from guilt.
Not guilt of feed lots and slaughter, but greed of consumption, having visited India several times.
There, the poor survive on a cup of rice and a glup of water.
At the time I was working on a cruise ship where we ate like pigs and threw away more than was eaten.
I decided to cut something out and chose red meat.

This reminds me I have some delicious Soppressata in my fridge next to some pungent raw cow's milk cheese that smell's like fermented scrotum.

When one cuts out red meat for the dubious reasoning of OMGPOORPEOPLEINPOORCOUNTRIES why would they not also cut out pork and chicken?

You do realize that you are not to make eye contact with me while in public, plus
you have to stay five paces behind me as we walk.

On the bright side, it'll be 100+ degrees so, I'll permit you to forgo the burka.

NB. Am I to assume you do eat with a knife and fork, and that I don't have to cut up your food for you. :)

Even I would eat a sacred cow if I was starving.  8) The Donner party shows what we're capable of if we're hungry.

One more suppressed appetite. My scheme does work, Holy Cow !

Even I would eat a sacred cow if I was starving.  8) The Donner party shows what we're capable of if we're hungry.

With reference to my delightful ebola post, Abso invited himself to my underground bunker and we briefly discussed who goes first.
For some bizarre reason Abso thinks it ought be my Latin.

On hindsight, firstly, I would provide minimal nutritional support for two.
The Latin would be the ideal choice :( but we have a connection.
Abso, sorry, should you make it down here in time, PACK SALT !

Salt preserves till consumption. Yum !

I'll let him give you a massage, once, (reducing the adrenalin makes the flesh more tender) but please be advised that that will be a precursor to a swift 'lights out'.

I can only pack so much salt so it would be appreciated if you'd help us out and carry some with you at all times.

In anticipation, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

The most important thing about being a vegetarian is that you must immediately become a holier-than-thou cunt. No two ways about it. Double it if you go vegan.

I had a vegan housemate when I was a student. Prescription strength pain in the arse. She started out vego and then upgraded to vegan. Insufferable. She was a journalism student and did a story on battery hens. Apparently that's what pushed her over the edge. I wanted to push her down the stairs.

I know that battery hens have a shit existence but in my experience if you're a chicken then things are not going to turn out well for you no matter what. I have limited compassion and I'm not going to waste it on bantam australorps.

I'm a country lad and have encountered more than my share of chooks. Check out chicken society, they're really quite unpleasant creatures and probably deserve everything they get.

If you're doing this for animal welfare reasons you can't be taken seriously if you don't go vegan. I'm not sure why you're doing this, I didn't bother to read your OP.

Life's too short and all that. Enjoy the bean curd.

I probably taste more like bacon.

For me, it should say 'bourbon' instead of 'bacon.'

I gave up red meat about 6 months ago, but not for any cause.  I just suddenly got icked out by it.  Same thing happened to me back in the 90s, and I went without it for 8 years.  Desire for it came back for it just as quickly as it had left.  I dropped 8lbs in the first month off it the first go around.  Alas, that doesn't seem to be repeating itself this go around.
AIDS isn't for sissies.
