Title: Truly Worried
Post by: Zacky on January 28, 2020, 07:59:19 pm
Dear Poz Team,

I am a heterosexual male. Back in mid nov 2019, I engaged the services of a csw. I told her specifically the i wasnt looking anything more than a handjob. So we started off the session in a hot tub, filled with warm water.

While in the tub, she applied shower foam on my penis and start rubbing. I am a uncircumsized male so sometimes soap does gets overly sensitive for my penis with intense rubbing i.e abrasions. so i told her to stop but i believe theres already some abrasion on my penis at this point of time.

So we proceeded to the bed where she wanted to give me unprotected oral but i declined. We then did some frottage, caressing and petting but no fingering.

So she applied some massage oil on her hand and started with the handjob. During the act, i already can feel some pain on my foreskin. So when i took a shower afterwards in the room, the pain when water touches my penis was so unbearable. I believed severe abrasions has taken place. But i am sure her hands has no bleeding, cuts or open wound. And she looks and sounds like someone who knew the risks of not taking care of herself sexually from the conversation i had with her. I didnt give it much thought.

So a month later around mid dec, i had severe cough, running and blocked nose. It kinda subsided but linger tru out the period of later dec and jan until it got worse again yesterday with greenish phlegm and mucus. And since last week, my mouth and lips started to get really dry but i wouldnt know if its due to the blocked nose and hence using my mouth to breathe more, or down to anxiety or its truly seroconversion.

I am just afraid the dry mouth will cause ulcers which will add to my existing anxiety. As of today, i am still having dry mouth. And just this morning, I notice a small red spot on the ridge of my upper lip and seriously worried it will turn into a cold sore.

Last thursday, an itchy rash started on my right shoulder and chest, with some at my belly button region. Again, i could have got it from pollen allergy because i work in agriculture sector and that morning i was wearing a singlet and i felt some airborne hairy pollen brushing against my skin. The rash has already fully subsided yesterday but some itch still remains.

Just really worried I will experience night sweats and swollen lymph nodes next............

I have to add that I work in another country than my own, hence the need to do a medical which involves hiv test as well. I have underwent 4 such tests on a 2 year basis and they are always in the clear. My last test was done on 3rd Nov 2019, which came back all good. But I know all that means nothing now....

As of this point, I am aware that no one knows if thats sero symptoms and the only way to tell is by a test. I will definitely go for a test in march as I am sure theres no Gen 4 testing where I am but the symptoms are really driving me nuts and causing broken sleep tru out the nite which in turn causes fatigue. At times like these, every little out of the norm symptoms you question if its sero phase....

Truly appreciate your kind advice....

None of the activities mentioned in your post is a mode of HIV-transmission.

Quite simply:  you did not have unprotected sex.  End of story.

Please access this link to read, learn, and understand how the virus is transmitted:

If you are ill, see a healthcare professional for evaluation.  Whatever symptoms you may think you have have nothing to due with HIV as a result of the activities in your post.

Hi Ptrk3, thanks for the reply.

However, some new symptoms came up again and I am back to worrying mode. I cant get to sleep even though I am sure i am experiencing fatigue due to the stress, anxiety and 24/7 obsession of my hiv status.

I am experiencing lower back pain and I believed what is to be Peripheral Neuropathy since 2-3 days ago. Feeling needles and pins on my feet and hands...

Would Peripheral Neuropathy be present so early if I am really seroconverting? It has been almost 12 weeks since the exposure.....

Hiya

Sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell however it's not related to HIV from the events posted here.  See your doctor and treat whatever is making you feel unwell instead of self diagnosing.

Again, you simply had no exposure from this encounter, and pretending otherwise is not helping you. Use condoms for any intercourse and test like every sexually active adult should out of standard routine ar least yearly for STI's & HIV

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions. Consider starting PrEP going forward as an additional layer of protection against HIV

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as safe in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other easier to transmit STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Jim

Hi Jim,

Appreciate your kind advice. Just one last question before I exhaust my quota.

I took a Gen 4 with Antigen test yesterday which is almost 11 weeks to my last exposure on 5th Dec 2019, which again involved only foreplay and handjob.

The test came out negative and I would like to know if this is conclusive enough? I saw the strip with my own eyes with only 1 controlled line after 20minutes. And also, are there any expiry status affecting the test strip that might show a false negative? Apologies for asking as it hasn't been an easy month for me since I first posted.

And also, since this is last allowed post, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely express my heartfelt gratitude to the team here for doing so much for so many strangers.

Of course, its conclusive as you had no HIV exposure from this event.

No HIV exposure from this event = No HIV risk form this event = No need to test for something you simply cannot have from this event.

Stop creating drama & stress for yourself, move on with your life! Use condoms for any intercourse and test like every sexually active adult should out of standard routine ar least yearly for STI's & HIV
