You may wanna have your doctor  check you testosterone levels, (if you are a male) it's a simple blood test  ;)

Hi Guys i have had alot of problems with energy. At Christmas my Sister introduced or rather pushed me to try a vitamin by a company called Doterra. She also gave me some peppermint drops from the company where one drop equals 28 cups of tea. I drink it now and get a up energy feeling. My tcells were also falling fast. I do not know if the vitamins or essential oil had anything to do with it but i went from 240 to 360. I take care of my elderly Mom also that was having stomach aches and hip and knee problems. Since She started the vitamin pack i do not here anything negative from Her and She is up in spirit all the time. :D

I think its dangerous to suggest a treatment that has no scientific backup. Also,  just because it may work for you doesnt mean it will work for me (or anyone else).
Go over to the Nutrition forum and see how many "teas" are recommended.

I'm extremely skeptical of any "natural" products (teas, supplements etc) being touted as wonders of medicine. There's a reason these things are not regulated by the FDA.  They can't be proven to "cure" or really "cause" anything, and if science can't prove causal relation then I don't care to spend money on it.

In the early days, I had a whole shoebox full of supplements.  I mean tons of them, with anything from astragalus to valerian root.  None of them did me any good.  In fact they had a detrimental effect on my pocketbook for sure, as these things are usually costly.

If it's working for you, then that's great.  But to recommend it to anyone else is just not a good idea.

Given the fact that we each are different, what may work for one person may not work for another despite medical efficacy studies or lack thereof.

Broad brushing clearly is never advised.

We need look no further, for example, than the various responses listed on the Boards here from members about their mental and physical reactions after taking  the HIV med Sustiva.

One might also consider the placebo effect.  Here is an interesting article abstract about that.:

My tcells were also falling fast. I do not know if the vitamins or essential oil had anything to do with it but i went from 240 to 360.
First, cd4s can change by up to 100 pts within a day so a 120 change is not all that dramatic, although it does seem to reflect a rise. (btw, Cd4 counts are higher in the early evening, and lower in the morning) Also, CD4s should never be viewed by just a single test - because of their daily variability. CD4s should always be judged by the trend over at least three tests. Since you have started these vitamins you might want to look at the three test prior and the 3 tests after starting to really see where the trend of your cd4s is actually going.

I'm also concerned by your comment that your tcells were "falling fast". If you are on Atripla with >=95% adherence and have reached UD viral load, your tcells definitely should not have been falling. Perhaps looking at your cd4/cd8 percentage could tell you a bit more about this odd change ("falling fast" to a single rise) you may be having with your cd4 count.

I'm glad you believe that these vitamins are helping you feel better. However, there aren't any supplements or vitamins that affect the CD4 count. The cd4 count only changes when HIV is suppressed and the immune system is able to recover to whatever level it will recover to.

good luck on your next labs. ;)

I was also taking energy drinks and alot of caffeine. After starting the Lifelong Vitality vitamins I not longer take the pills. I do not drink energy drinks and I gave up sodas and coffee. I am very excited tofeel like this. Have a good day.

I am a long term er that has trouble with my energy.
hey again! :D

have you ever had your Vitamin D level checked out? if too low, it can cause fatigue (and depression also). Or maybe even Chronic Fatigue Syn. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002224/) which might be caused by the Epstein-Barr virus or human herpes virus-6. Heck, even depression can be an energy-sapper depending on bad it is and how long a person has been depressed.. ;)

I'm not dissing your experience with the supplements; but suggesting some other underlying causes that you might want to get checked out.

I know at times there are issues a pozzie can experience that there is just no explanation for; but I'm one that likes to try to find the cause so that I can get it properly treated. Currently, I'm having some issues that go beyond peripheral neuropathy and might just have to be chalked up to fibromyalgia - which isn't really a good explanation either. So I can understand the frustration of not knowing what the problem is, and not having a good solution - but trying a lot of stuff until something works. ;)
