I too wish for the best, Matt.
What you said is so true.
Some of us enjoying life today, while others seem hopelessly stuck back in the days of the 1980's.
And no, it's not fair. Not in this day and age.
I know what they mean when they talk of survivors guilt. Well, maybe just a little tiny bit.
Everyone should be doing great. Feeling good. Carefree and enjoying life.
And when those we know and care about are not, well that just isn't the way it should be.
But having good caring friends can be the best comfort above all.

Hey Matt,

Apologies for not chiming in sooner.

Glad to hear your friend seems to be handling things well.

Keep us posted.

Thank you Mark. Thanks everyone. He died 1 July (Fri).  I am not going to say more, except please do not do those "Sorry for your loss" posts, I would like this thread to sink without trace as soon as possible.

Part of what  I posted on his Facebook wall:

Unto the red earth my man, thank you for my name (newt) ... Umhlobo wami, peace.

Take your fucking meds.
