am I infected?

Its like about 4 weeks ago I had a sexual intercourse with a sexual worker. I used a condom for penetration but I didnt use it when it comes to oral, but whats bothering me is when I kissed her I have oral thrush and its big. Ive been googling for almost 4 weeks stressed out how hiv can transmitted through kissing (deep kissing and french kiss) and some says that it could be possible if I have a wound in my mouth or I have something like oral thrush. Its been 4 weeks I almost check my health everyday did I get fever or swollen glands or anything that connect to hiv symptoms. I know that I must wait at least 6 weeks to get tested but im so stressed these days because suddenly theres a lump on my left neck right under my jaw and im so freaked out..
So im asking for the expert help to tell me does hiv can transmit through kissing? Or what is my current risk of havin hiv?

You have not had a risk for HIV so if this is your only concern its not HIV that's making you sick . Kissing and getting a BJ are not a risk for HIV ... period . The penetrative sex was protected and not a risk .

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Although you did not have a risk and do not need to test for this specific incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks jeff for the quick reply... so my swollen tonsil does nothing to do with the infection? Because I never had this kind of thing before and many people said it is one of the symptoms...
So should I test ? Because many things going on in my mind

Please learn the truth about HIV infection, so you can stop listening to people who do not know the facts.  You did not have a risk, so whatever is happening with your tonsils, has nothing to do with HIV.

Thanks jeff and joe I went to a doctor just now to check my swollen neck gland and about my mouth sores, I have 3 mouth sores and after I read on many articles about hiv it could be 1 of ARS symptoms so the doctor said that I might be infected ( I never said anything about my sex activities nor anything that connect to hiv, I just asked him to check me). I cant ask too much to the doctor about hiv because I went to doctor with my mom and I dont want her to know about my sexual activities... im so frustated right now and I dont know what to do... thanks for your last post I feel relieved but now I become frustated again with this doctor's comment. So is it possible if I get hiv with my described activity in the first post and now I get swollen gland (only 1 in neck) and 3 mouthsores and a fever?

OK, now please listen to what I am saying and not to your fears. Jeff and Joe have both given you the real deal. You did not have a risk for HIV. Nothing you are reporting symptomatically is in any way HIV specific. You also need to know for the future that symptoms are never a way to know about your HIV status accurately. Only an HIV test can tell you that if you have had a real risk like unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse.

But you haven't had a risk. So whatever is going on with you physically has nothing to do with HIV. There is no need for testing nor for further concern this time about HIV. If your symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor.

This is not an HIV situation. Period. Get on with your life.

You could not and did not get infected with HIV from the incident you describe so you need to stop worrying over it . Its not HIV making you sick . The doctor is wrong to jump right to the conclusion you may be infected with HIV, your symptoms are not specific to hiv and could be caused by many other things .

If you are uneasy than go test and collect your negative result ... you never had a risk for HIV .
