Changing Atripla to AM....Question
« on: December 13, 2007, 10:44:16 pm »
I know I have seen this addressed here before, but I seem to be having one of those occasional brain blocks against the right search terms so I will just ask again.....

I have been taking Atripla for over a year now and numbers are great. Only thing driving me crazy is not being able to sleep through the night. I wake up every 2-3 hours.

I have read several times that people have changed to taking it in the AM with good results. However, I want to know how to do this.....Do I take my dose tonight and again in the AM or skip tonight and take it tomorrow AM?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I take Atripla in the AM.  I went with what i call the shock approach -- I skipped an evening dose, and took it in the morning

I did it on a saturday so I could gauge its effects during the day.  So, you could go that route.

An alternative approach is to gradually ease yourself in to the process, by taking the meds later each night - lets say first night, instead of taking it at 11pm, you take it a 3am, the next day at 5 am, the next at 7am, etc...

So, yes, it CAN be DONE...!!!

I have loved my morning schedule ever since I started in the meds in February !!
