Stomach Acid Meds...

Pharmacist at clinic tells me to never take over the counter stomach acid pills with my ARV pills and to wait at least 6 hours. I am on Descoy and Tiivicay.

I know this includes stomach acid meds like Galveston, Rennie due to some indgredient   in them (which slips my mind).

Does anyone know what stomach acid meds we can take with Descoy & Tivicay?

Feel damn acidy today and still 4 hours to wait before I can have Galveston.

You could take Omeprazole or a quarter teaspoon of biacorbonate of soda in a glass of water now and again.omeprazole must be taking daily

Myself I use tums have been taking it for years undetectable with out problems that I noticed

or if I have a head ache,  body ache an stomach upset I use alka-seltzer

check with your ID doc though

mine has asked over the years I said when my stomach hurts I eat a tums and alka-seltzer  every once in a while

for minor stomach distress. I have used over the years ovaltine . it is not a medicine it is a milk flavoring that sits well when at least for me i get a medicine belly ache . but hey you have plenty of time to find your own relief.  acid stomach and medicine not fun at all. bread helps somewhat .    I hope these ideas help you find some relief.
