Assuming there was/are no resistance issues adding Prezista until you maintain a period of being undetectable, then stopping just the Prezista/norvir should not prevent you from using it in the future.

Did you have a genotype / resistance test?  What are you resistant too?

Not sure...this has all been going so fast, and with a cd4 of 4 / vl 206000, doctor was like were going to attack this virus...I was just worried that if i went off them( assuming ) no resistance, they wouldn't work for me later...also kinda worried about taken all this in one shot...taking insentress/ truvada/ intelence at 9/9...  So to add the prestiva and novir to the combo thought I lift get sick as it is a lot going into my system...thanks for the reply ...

Attack the virus with 5 drugs...this is an interesting theory, and won't do any harm, but it's not supported by research in term of outcomes. The key drug here in terms of viral load coming down fast is Isentress, this works really quick.

In the long term, Truvada + 1 of Isentress or Intelence or Prezista (+Norvir booster) should be enough.

If all these HIV meds are making you feel ill, consider dropping one (my choice would be Intelence, depends on resistance test results).

thank you ...I have not started the prezista / novir yet, and think I just might wait to see what the labs look like in August...  Just hope these meds are kicking this viruses ass...
