living with hiv 4 years later
« on: May 21, 2017, 01:39:22 am »
its hard when you first find out your poz. but after awhile I don't think about it much just take my pill. when I am bored I look at this site that helped me so much when I was new and scared. its been about 4 years I think. since then I have had a kid, got a new house, went from the hospital bed to playing in the park with my kids. im just saying this for the new people who are scared, looking at there numbers too close, wondering how the future will be. so for me and I hope for most living with hiv has turned out to be pretty normal living after I got on meds and my body got health again.

Glad to hear you are doing OK. I take heart from good experiences like this. Especially with your starting figures. If you can progress like that from a CD4 count of 2 so can the rest of us.

ojo        Hello my dear friend @2tcells....already four years, congratulations!!!.
I remember your first post, I was surprised how low your "soldiers" were. You fought this virus since day one, I know how difficult it's been for you to get over 200 cd4, but you kept fighting and making some changes to your personal life, you see!!!, it was worthy it making those changes, now you even have a brand new baby boy, who will keep away the potential boyfriends of you two little girls...I love reading these kind of stories, do you remember @pederdenmark?, he was in the same situation like you four years ago, although, he has been luckier than you in the "soldiers" department, he has a cd4 around 800 now, but, he, like you, fought this virus and you took control of your lives again. WELCOME to the club, the fighters club, the club of people who decided to fight, yes, sometimes fall down, but you knew had the obligation to get up and keep fighting, not only for yourself, but, for your girlfriend and little girls. PROUD OF YOU, now, I hope you will let me know how you will feel when it is time to take your little boy to his first day to school, remember?...big cyber hug on your way my friend  ;p
