Well, you've just desribed most of Texas from April until October. We refer to it as "Sack-Sticking Weather." It's not uncommon to see men hold out one leg and shake it to unstick the danglers.

It's the whole planet. It's going to hell in a handbasket !! I am really dreading the summer this year , here in Florida. It's going to be HOT,HOT, HOT !! And I still can't believe, that there are politicians, that refuse to believe that a problem exists. They say it's just a cycle....bologna...

Global warming is good news! Just imagine Greenland becoming green again as it was 1000 years ago (blame Canute the Great) and great parts of the north Sahara Desert covered again with green savannah because of increased rainfall as it was 2000 years ago (blame Emperor Julius Caesar).
However, I do think polluting the skies is bad. All those toxins are poisonous.

We had two day’s of heat last week and today I have a fire going to take the chill off the house. It’s been windy and cool here on the coast.
John, you must live on Nob-Hill, Twin Peaks or right in San Francisco with mother natures built in air-conditioning. The Fog.

WELCOME TO CANADIAN WEATHER!! People always seem to wonder why we Canadians are always talking about the weather .... cuz it's so bloody buggery unpredictable!! We just went though a brutal heat wave here in T.O., well above seasonal norms. We even had one in May or April (can't remember that far back!). I can remember one year when it was snowing the first week of June!?!?!? Go figure! Yesterday (June 23) was the first Pride Parade here in years where a person COULD watch the entire parade without getting sick from the sun and heat. At least it's not too humid where you are, according to your weather report. Add humidity to the pitcure and move over wicked witch of the west!

It's currently 81 at 11:18 am, with a high predicted of 88. I bet it gets a bit warmer than that.
Yesterday was warmer than any day we've had since July '04--nearly 2 years.
I know 88 and low-90's doesn't sound particularly hot...but we are in the land of no A/C (very few private residences have A/C.)

Dr. Evelyn Paglini is a white witch who made her yearly predictions on Art
Bell's Coast to Coast radio show in March. She said that she didn't want to frighten people but that people should be prepared. She said that Mother Earth has invoked the elements (air, earth, water, and fire) to cleanse the
earth. The years of 2006 and 2007 will be a time of major earth change.
People need to prepare to take care of themselves because they cannot
expect help from the government. She said there will be clusters of
tornadoes in excess of 250 miles an hour in the Midwest. She gave an urgent
warning for people living in the following states: Florida, Texas,
Louisiana, and Alabama, and California. There will be major fires across
California, Arizona, and the Midwest during the months of July, August,
October, and November. There will be a least five major hurricanes in
the Southeast affecting Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama.
California will experience massive flooding with levees and dams breaking.
There will have to be a mass evacuation of many coastal areas. There will
be two major earthquakes: one in California and the other in the
Midwest. They both will be over a 6 on the Richter scale. These earthquakes
will just be a precursor to even stronger earthquakes in the year 2007.
There will be more than one active volcanoes. Next fall the much of the
country will experience bitter cold with record snowfalls and blizzard
whiteouts.
The economy: the poor and middle income people will continue to be
squeezed financially and many will barely get by. Interest rates will
continue to rise up two or three basis points and credit will become very
tight. Many people will lose their homes and there will be many bankruptcies
and foreclosures. Oil prices will shoot up to over $70 per barrel by
the year end. There will be an severe interruption of oil and a shortage
of gas by this fall. There will be a major stock correction this fall
of 300 to 400 basis points and the free-fall will happen fast. People's
stock portfolios and 401k plans will take a big hit. There
will be massive job layoffs by the hundreds of thousands. There will be
major civil unrest and there will be riots in the large cities. It will
get so bad that Marshall Law will have to be imposed.
A killer flu strain virus shows up during the 2006 and 2007 flu
season. There will be not be enough vaccine available and hospitals will not
be able to handle all the cases. She urges people to build up their
immune systems and to wash their hands. Avoid people who are sick if at
all possible. The virus gets even worse in 2008.

OH great! Not only do i have to worry about the tornadoes here in kansas..i have to worry about Earthquakes now?
My luck i will be in the basement hiding from the tornado and an earthquake will hit. DO I want to be blown away or buried alive?

Yes, some of what Dr. Paglini predicted happens every year....but some of what she is predicting is extreme:
(1) Dr. Paglini predicts that tornadoes in excess of 250 miles per hour will occur in the Midwest. Tornado ratings according to the National Weather Service:
Category F4: Devastating Damage (207- 260 mph); Well-constructed houses leveled; structure with weak foundations blown off some distance; cars thrown and large missiles generated.
Category F5: Incredible Damage (261- 318 mph); Strong frame houses lifted off foundations and swept away; automobile sized missiles fly through the air in excess of 100 meters (109 yards); trees debarked; incredible phenomena will occur.
(2) Dr. Paglini predicts that California will experience massive flooding with levees and dams breaking. The Sacramento delta levee system is said to be in worst shape shape than the levees that failed in New Orleans. An earthquake could cause levees to crumble and result in massive flooding throughout the Central Valley. Salt water from the San Francisco Bay would mix with fresh water making it undrinkable. Southern California would be highly impacted since most of their drinking water comes from Northern California via aqueducts.
(3) Oil is already over $70 a barrel. Dr. Paglini predicted that there will be an severe interruption of oil and a shortage of gas by this fall. Remember the 1970's gas lines?
(4) The stock market will not only fall, Dr. Paglini said it will freefall losing 400 to 500 points and catch most people unaware.
(5) Dr. Paglini predicts that there will be major civil unrest and there will be riots in the large cities. It will get so bad that Martial Law will have to be imposed.

I lived in the Portland, Oregon area for about 7 years. I remember that it would occasionally get close to 100 degrees for a few days but usually only in July or August. You can always go up to Mt. Hood or to the beautiful Oregon Coast where it's always cooler. I live in the Sacramento area now where it routinely gets above 100 degrees from May to October (it's a dry heat and everything here is air conditioned--unlike Portland/Vancouver!). Think cool thoughts!

Meanwhile back on the coast! UHUM! I am freezing my skinny little ass off.
Maybe I’m on drugs that I'm not aware of and it’s having adverse effects on me. But I’m not reading the three digits numbers they’re talking about here on the news.
As a matter of fact the fog right now is rolling in from the Pacific and I’m going to try and post a picture of what it looks like from my living room window. I just checked the outside temperature and it is currently 61* at 6:30pm.
So rocky, it’s all in your head. Dingbat!

Gotta love those Bay Area weather reports:
"Today, the temperatures will range from the 50's at the coastline to the low 100's well inland...." what's that? about 30 miles as the crow flies?
