Mustang, whatever is going on with you symptomatically has absolutely nothing to do with HIV. Nothing you are reporting would have put you at risk for HIV.

Discuss your symptoms with your doctor if they continue.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected.

This is not an HIV situation.

That negative HIV test result solidly and conclusively confirmed that you are HIV negative.

Although it's always wise to check symptoms out medically for a possible cause, it does seem as if you would benefit from some professional support with a counselor or therapist. We can't help you with that in this setting. But I can tell you unequivocally that HIV is not the problem.

Good luck in getting this sorted out.

If symptoms are going to appear at all it is normally within 4-6 weeks after an exposure. The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. Beyond 6 weeks for symptoms would be more than unusual.

I say all of this bearing in mind that you did not have a risk to begin with.

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.

No, your snorting coke would note affect the accuracy of your test result.

An HIV test is the only test that detects HIV antibodies.

Which you CAN NOT HAVE because you had NO RISK.

I am sorry you are not feeling well. I hope between your doctor and your therapist you can get to the root of the problem. It is NOT HIV.

This forum is simply not equipped to provide therapy for your irrational fear. As a matter of fact, it will undermine your recovery. You will not be allowed to use this as a place to fuel your fear.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

I would like to commend the patience of Andy Velez in dealing with this poster.

As a sensual massage therapist I do hear of girls getting the (very) odd person suffering “buyer’s remorse”.
It has only happened to me once where a gentleman decided he had contracted something from a MASSAGE with me. He was correct, it was a nasty case of paranoia! He had a full health screen and of course he was perfectly fine. The symptoms, similar to the sweats defined by Mustang78 were created by anxiety.

I keep a very clean personal and work environment, so I find it offensive when someone has chosen to come along for a sensual massage and then decided that us providers are teeming with a variety of infectious noxious sexual virus and bacteria!
I wish more men would switch on their big heads and realise you cannot catch an STI from a massage.
Thank you for having the patience to deal with these folk (who ironically could do with a good massage to chill out)!

You're welcome, Francesca.

And thanks for your appreciative comment. It is very unfortunate that often the clients of sensual massage therapists and of other services have such negative ideas about those who offer those services. To me it's a part of the whole sex negative attitude in our society.

However, I also must point out that it's a rule of the site as stated in the opening thread of this section that only those who are authorized to do so may write in other member threads.

Thanks for your cooperation with this rule in the future.
