Suggestions for slogan needed!
« on: July 18, 2007, 08:48:39 am »
Hi everyone!

I'm participating in this year's HIV/AIDS walk and run in Chicago on September 15th (please sign
up if you're reading this and you're in Chicago!).   www.aidschicago.org

Any ideas or suggestions on a slogan, quote, question, statement that I can design a t-shirt
around? I am also planning on sending out invites to everyone I know to get them involved in
the walk or at least make a donation. I'm hoping to use this "saying" or "slogan"
as the basis of my design. My focus is to get people to stop and become more aware
that HIV can enter anyone's life and that we all need to start paying a hell of a lot more attention to
AIDS and HIV in this country.
By the way, I thought the short article about Bono on this front page of this site hit the nail right on the head!

These are a few that I came up with...let me know what you think!

Create change now for a promise of the future

Create hope through action

Steppin' out to empower

Hope through action

Create impact through action

Anyway, any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!

All the Best   :)

I think a twist on a well-known phrase would be good, or perhaps the cold hard facts.  here are a few.....

On the front of the t-shirt "Don't hate me because..."  on the back  "I am HIV+ and beautiful"

Or state the facts.  Find out how many households in the US are really affected by HIV/AIDS and post that on the shirt..........

Front:  How many households in the USA are affected by HIV/AIDS?
Back:  One in fifty (or whatever the number is)

I say don't be gentle, if people see a pic of the race in the next morning's newspaper and there are facts on the runners t-shirts, it may stick with them more than a "soft slogan."

Cindy

"Have you been tested?"

HIV+ since '93, 1/12 - CD4 785 and undet.   WOO-HOO!!
