Open for business
« on: July 10, 2006, 08:50:51 pm »
Hello all,

The last few months have been hectic.   As some of you know, I have worked in the travel/hospitality industry my entire life.  I've always dreamed of going into business for myself.  Specifically, operating my own travel agency.  Well, I've finally decided to stop thinking about it and do it.  I've jumped into the world of entrepreneurship and launched my own travel service, Prestige Getaways!

I invite all of you to a sneak peak at www.PrestigeGetaways.com.  Feel free to register to receive a bi-weekly email of promotions or request further information for something that peaks your interest.  I'm still tweaking the web site, so check back often for changes and the latest specials.  In the next few weeks I'll be adding the ability to book last minute getaways for as low as $250 per person.

Let me what you think.  I welcome your feedback.  Below is a press release I'll be sending out next Monday to family, friends, newspapers, magazines, radio stations, etc.

Dennis

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Local Travel Agency Offers Personalized Service, Expert Advice

Wilton Manors, FL – Prestige Getaways of Wilton Manors, FL has recently begun business under the ownership of Dennis Burnham, an independent travel professional specializing in cruises, group and family vacations, and Walt Disney World.  Prestige Getaways is affiliated with Travel Planners International, a leader in the travel industry utilizing the latest technology to get the most competitive prices on airline and train tickets, hotel and car rental reservations, cruises, tours, and vacation packages.
Dennis offers a unique level of service often not available through internet agencies.  He specializes in personal service, and works closely with his clients from the beginning stages of vacation planning through to the very end, after they’ve return from their travels.  He assists with much more than just finding the best price.  Personalized services include travel recommendations, personal itinerary planning, and customer advocate.  In fact, he prefers that you think of him as a travel consultant, not agent.
“My services don’t end with final payment.  I handle every detail of my clients’ vacation until is has been successfully completed.  I call in advance of arrivals to confirm that the resort or cruise line can meet any special requests and upgrades.  If something should go wrong during their travels, I act on my clients behalf to make sure the issue is resolved to their satisfaction.”
Dennis’s experience and skills have been gained through a combination of formal education and his own personal experience.  He continues his training and certification by participating in destination specialist courses and seminars.  In addition, Dennis has sailed on many cruises, vacationed in all-inclusive resorts, and visited over ten ports worldwide.  He and his family are frequent visitors to Walt Disney World, having traveled there more than five times in only the past three years.
Dennis offers his expertise and personalized services at no additional cost or fees to the client.  He is paid by the supplier, so you would pay no more by using his services than if you were to book the trip yourself.  In fact, you’ll end up paying less!
For more information on Prestige Getaways and the services offered, call today at
954-258-4976, or visit their website at www.prestigegetaways.com.

Wow! That really is amazing. Big step, may it bring you big rewards (and not just financial). Congratulations Dennis.

Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

Congratulations Dennis ! I didn't know you meant you would be trying to open this soon.
The only critique I would offer, would be to get yourself an 800 number. I always look for the toll free number to places I'm planning to patronage.

Well done hon. :) ;D

Thanks Lisa.  A toll free number is in the works.  It should be posted, hopefully by the end of the week.
