chewing gum while blowing
« on: June 17, 2010, 09:44:32 am »
About 40 days ago I met a guy through net . First I did insertive oral sex with him (i was the top) and then for an hour I fisted him without gloves using my hands and sometimes I used my left feet. (At that time I didn’t have any open sores but few days before and after I was feeling 2 of  my fingers tingling me without a visible reason and a small area of the sole of my foot was hard cause few years before I stepped in a small piece of glass) . After that I gave him again oral sex and finished inside his mouth. Then he told me that few years ago he had hepatitis b and he was ok now . I got very scared .I did the vaccine for hepatitis but then i got scared for hiv. At two weeks I had a duo test which turnd out negative. Then I retested again at the 28th day (which was actually 27 full days after the possible exposure cause I gave sample in the morning). Did I have an exposure ?Am I at risk? Do I need further test?

All,

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection. Neither is fisting - or footing for that matter. You didn't have a risk and you do not need further testing.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

All,

You've already been told that you had no risk and do not need to test.

The rash that sometimes accompanies seroconversion does not itch, is not raised, nor does it hurt.

You do not have hiv.

Adittionally do you think that a duo test (p24/antibodies) at 15 days and at the 28th day are good indicators?

   Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Your test results are irrelevant because you never had a risk to begin with.

If you are feeling ill you need to discuss that with your doctor. As you have been told already, HIV is not your problem despite your doubts and fears.

I am warning you that if you continue to return over a non-risk situation you are going to find yourself getting a 28 day Time Out from the site. HIV is not your problem. Period.

Seems my nightmare came back. I would like to ask you a question..Yesterday I was fully drunk and went for cruising. The result I had oral sex , insertive and receprive . The insertive last 2 seconds  without ejaculation and the receptive lasted more. I am so worried today . Do you think I should test? Thank you

True, but your original thread displays the nature and quality of your posts. It also helps alleviate the burden on those who monitor these forums by allowing us to see what, if anything, has seriously been understood or learned in your tenure here on the forums.

As someone who has visited this site for over a year and who still foes not seem to grasp the nature of HIV infection, this sort of thing helps us to understand that you are displaying a condition that has nothing to do with simple ignorance regarding HIV, but rather an obsession with the virus with no ability/capacity/willingness to implement this information into real-world practice.

In short, you have been here far too long to claim ignorance as to how HIV os spread, and knowing your posting history allows us to place you on a faster track towards a time out or banning from this site, as it clearly is not information you are lacking.

I agree with Jonathan (jkinatl2). You have not had a risk for hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER ORAL, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

One more question. Do you think its dangerous to have a chewing gum in your mouth while you give oral sex? Can the chewing gum help virus to enter my mouth if I have an "entrence"?

With or without gum in your mouth, your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively create a barrier against the transmission of viable HIV.

You are worrying unnecessarily. There's no need for testing nor for further concern.

You also need to know that the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. If you use condoms for those activities consistently you will be well protected. It really is that simple.

As for chewing gum while blowing, it does not change your risk level. However, it's bad manners. Yuck.
