Swelling and blisters in Balls of Feet
« on: August 18, 2007, 05:53:25 pm »
Hello, Lords, Ladies and Gents:
I did do a search on this and nothing seemed to address my dilemma, so I hope someone can offer advice or direct me to the right link.

A week ago I got some minor swelling on my toes of my LEFT foot. This provoked a blister, which turned into several painful blisters. Every day I soaked my foot and it did get better so I wasn't too alarmed. It wasn't both feet so I felt reassured about that too that it probably wasn't an ORGAN or something.

I got some new shoes, since the others were somewhat painful, and my first day wearing these - TIMBERLANDS - I got some swelling on the ball of my RIGHT foot near the small toe. It has gotten a bit worse in the last 24 hours.

Neither WHOLE foot or ankle is swollen. The problems is always at the front of the foot, near the toes.

Is this totally unrelated to HIV and/or meds [ARTIPLA here for about 6 months now] or a side effect that I can address somehow?

Thanks ... and if this is a redundant question, I DO apologize, Just refer me to some info.

Thanks!!
Lowell

this is not related to meds or hiv.

keep the area clean and dry, maybe get yourself some Compeed plasters. If it's not healing up, or becomes infected, take your feet to a dr.

It wasn't both feet so I felt reassured about that too that it probably wasn't an ORGAN or something

I assume you are talking about reflexology principles...? cos if you've got organs in yer feet, blisters are the least of your worries, eh..

Over the years my feet have changed significantly.....especially as the Lipodystrophy progressed. I have gone from a 10.5 D to a 11 C  in other words longer and narrower...  please get your feet properly measured by a good DR   and be sure you are buying the correct size shoes...bad enough having skinny arms / legs  but feet also!!!!
