new viral load test

Hello everyone

I have been away here but now I have a question you could help me with

I have been treated for HIV since 1993 and since 1996 I am on Haart. Since 1997 I have had an undetectable viral load. That used to mean under 50.

A new test has been introduced in our country, more sensitive, undetectable now means less that 20 copies. 6 months ago my test was 47, then 3 months ago it was undetectable again and now it is 121.

The hospital tells me that they are puzzled about the fact that since the new test was introduced many people who have been undetectable for many years and who have been known as very adherent to their therapy now turn up with (low) detectable viral loads. I found out that at least in 3 places where the test is introduced, (Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague) there are more detectable viral loads among long term Haart users.

I don't know the name or the manufacturer of the test.
Does anybody know to say anything sensible about this issue? Are there hospitals anywhere else in the world where they have the same results?
