I'm a wanderer...
« on: January 29, 2007, 10:00:33 pm »
Man... I've got the travel bug this spring and summer.

On Saturday, I go to Charleston, SC to hang out with my best friend and her husband.  That promises to rule at life... and pictures of us desecrating Civil War memorials (as an iconoclastic resident of the former capital of the Confederacy, I can assure that this is SOP) and generally acting like hellions are a virtual guarantee for your viewing pleasure.

I will be buying plane tickets soon to get my booze-addled ass down to Atlanta in May.  God help you, Atlanta.

Annnnnd... the big one.  The very big one... Montreal in August with a really good friend of mine.  Me heart Canada longtime!  And Montreal, for some reason, is able to deal with me.  I have a feeling this is because we parlons francais... and they're big fans of sin.  As am I.

Another friend of mine and I are discussing a trip to the UK next winter (I used to live in Germany, so the crushingly depressing grey wetness of a North Atlantic winter is something I am used to)... because flights will be a hell of a lot cheaper.  But when I "discuss" a trip... that generally means that it's going to happen.  Oh yes.

This is also interspersed with cheap trips to New York to stay with friends.  Huzzah!

In the absence of having an exciting life at home... I just travel.  Fun for me!

Aupoint,
If you're coming to Germany, why not hop on a plane and come to...you know where, ;) !  I travel very frequently to Germany and that would be a nice coincidence to be there at the same time...

From another wanderer, I mean, big time wanderer!

P.S. I haven't been to Montreal in a long time and wonder how things have changed from the last time I was there...

Yeah... mine got water damaged... and I need to get some ridiculous form to explain why it got damaged.  My response will be, "it was raining."

I need to get my ass to the passport office... stupid new North American travel laws...

I went to a male strip club in Montreal and had to leave because I couldn't stop laughing when a stripper was smacking his cock against the strip pole with this needlessly intense look on his face.

They really don't do all that much for me... I don't find naked people parading around in front of a bunch of strangers to be sexy.  I find it amusing... in a sordid kind of way...

Me in 2007: BROKE  but still planning Wilmington NC in April and China in July, and Costa Rica if I can swing it at Xmas time
