i frenched kissed, gave oral for a few seconds (possible precum), and rubbed his penis on and around my vagina and dipped it in for a second. we ended up not having sex. later i found out he had recently slept with an hiv positive woman. if he had a high viral load, what is my risk factors during this contact. i tested negative at 8 weeks with the home access kit (2nd generation elisa). within a week of this exposure, i became severely sick (fever, muscle ache, chills, sweats, numbeness in hands and feet) and fatigued for a month. how long after the symptoms does drs believe antibodies develop that elisa and western blot can detect? if you were severely sick does it take longer than if someone who had mild symptoms?

You haven't had a risk and your results are not going to change. You ARE hiv negative.

okay, i hope this encounter was not the case, however, he did insert himself into me maybe for like 2 strokes. i stopped because a guy came in the room and told me that this guy had been with a girl who was diagnosed with hiv in jail. if it was not possible for transmission in his acute hiv state, then heres the other possiblity...
a week before i was seeing and having unprotected vagianl sex (im a girl) with a man who used to be a junkie...he said hed had many hiv test and they were negative, however, he failed to mention if he had heptitus...every morning after drinking he would be shaking like all the way up his arms.
my symptoms were knock me out fever, chills, shortness of breath, numbeness and tingling in feet and hands...in the past 28 years i hardly get sick- even when my family is bedridden- i get just a little tired rather than getting really sick.
i was in a rough time 2 months ago and i have used protection since and try to abstain from sex just because i have been this close or maybe infected.

so if i was infected by the heptitus boyfriend i had unprotected sex with like 15 times and he was uncircumsized...then my home access test would be 9 weeks negative. i would like to know how early this second generation test would be accurate to give me enough peace of mind for and couple weeks...

Your boyfriend not being circumcised has nothing to do with you. What has to do with you is having unprotected vaginal sex. A conclusive negative test is 3 month from your last unprotected sex.

Just keep this real simple. Since you have had unprotected vaginal intercourse you do need to get tested. You can get a reliable result with any generation test at 13 weeks past the most recent unprotected incident.
Your symptoms are not in anyway HIV specific and symptoms or the lack of them should never be the means by which you judge your HIV status.
You can have all the sex you want with any partners, regardless of their HIV status or whether they are circumcised or not. But to protect your health the guy always has to wear a condom. No exceptions, no excuses. Condoms do the job very well when they are used.
