My previous labs from 06 June 2011 were:
CD4: 298 (19%)
VL: 78,380
I started taking Atripla 01 August and I drew blood on 30 August, here are the results after being on Atripla for 30 days:
CD4: 699 (31%)
VL: 1,938
I'm positively ecstatic! ;D
I'm due back on 31 October to get another blood draw.

Hi Dan,
I remember when I first joined to the forums, you started to write your Atripla diary on a daily basis. I had a keen interest on that especially being a new member and also wanted to find out what kinds of effects meds would have on you. Great example for anyone who wants to start meds and I am happy it all worked out for you!
Congratulations on your numbers now and even better numbers in the future! Its time to partaay!!
Cheers!

Thanks everyone for replying!
Atripla really is kick-ass! I wasn't expecting it to work that fast!
Denb45: I don't understand what you mean... why would I want to have a lower CD4 and %?

Right on Dan!!! This is certainly cause for celebration and must be quite a relief for you. I remember us chatting when you decided to start and all the angst. I am proud of you for hanging in there and giving me hope. Be well,

Great numbers, congrats. My numbers didn't rebound as fast as yours, and my doctor was playing chicken with my health not recommending treatment sooner I was hovering around 220, and he still said that I had time to make up my mind ::)

Oh wow! My doctor started recommending treatment right away. My first CD4 came back as being 350. Every patient room has this big poster encouraging to start meds below 500. ;)

... and better numbers to come:-) :P

Congrats Dan!! My experience is similar to yours.

WoW result after one month of taking ATripla :
CD4 was 454 now 860
Viral load was 100,000 now 900

wow, I am happy to see these positive results with Atripla. My doctor has presented 4 options for me to start with and one of them is Atripla. I have decided on Atripla after doing all kinds of reading on it. Seeing these encouraging numbers is giving me some comfort! The idea is to start me on my treatment in a week from now. My numbers are 290 and 100,000vl , I hope I take to it as well as you!

Wow! That is an impressive set of numbers! I'm very glad to see that Atripla is working out so well for you. I started a lil over a week ago myself, and I'll get the next set of labs done the end of October. Can't wait! Hoping that my results are as awesome as yours :)
