yesterday was the first sunny beautiful day of the year.  An excuse to wear shorts.  I took the dog to the park.  We sat under some trees taking in the sun when I looked up and noticed a bald eagle in the trees above me.  The eagle started to chirp and all of the sudden all the birds began singing to each other.  We then walked down to the beach and watched the sailboats.

Today ,it's back to the rain.

I now officially classify you as a weather wimp. :)
A sad conclusion for a pretend yank.
For shame. :(

PS- I have the perfect right to whine after THIS winter.
I gave you the opportunity to see the white stuff in all of it's glory several times this year and you blew it.

How was the black party by the way?

Clearly, this map is bogus......  I already have about 3" of snow here in Richmond - which is more than shown here.

All I know is winter better end soon - the pool opens on Apr 18 and I will be in it!  No, it is not heated.

Am I the only one hoping we get slammed as hard as we're supposed to?  We're supposedly dead center of this storm path, but we'll see.

You know, there are two parts to this storm. The second part arrives tomorrow for the Mid-Atlantic and it's starting to look like a on-land hurricane which tells me it's quite strong.

No, she lost her virginity.  It was a virgin snowfall afterall.

Perhaps I will make you one since I  already have 2 people spending the night in preparation of playing outside all day tomorrow.  Not sure about the whole sleding thing right now, the last time we all went, me, my brother and mother all ended up with broken bones...true story.

I pay someone to open and close the pool.  This way, if something goes wrong and a pipe bursts, they pay to rip up all the concrete to fix it.  Plus -- I'm lazy and like to see the pool boys.

You can come anytime, my dear Willy.......  Maybe time it with one of Miss P 's trips to Richmond and y'all can finally get it on..............  out of the pool of course.

Sorry, no can do.
Thankfully our snow is almost gone! :)
Just a few piles here and there from snow plows and on the northern sides of buildings.
We might get a tiny bit of slush from this storm.

I think this entire radar thing is a hoax.  According to the news report, our area rec'd around 6 inches.  Really?  I didn't even have to use a snow shovel.

Meanwhile, 40 miles southwest from me... And there are parts of southern NJ that they're still forecasting to receive a foot of snow by tonight. Evidently a low has formed off the coast and it's sucking in the larger storm's moisture now, but I'm just far enough away (~60 miles from the coast) that I won't see much.

Accuweather's long range forecast for the 14th - 23rd is above 70F every single day. I'm going to have to dig out my Gucci thong and clean off the skidmarks. Hallelujah -- just in time for our lovely cherry blossom festival in Fairmont Park.

It's only a two day wave -- we return to normal April weather (meaning highs of ~65F-69F) for most of the rest of the long range forecast.

Memphis is the hellhole that stays at 125F all summer.

However, I did turn my A/C on a couple hours ago. It also helps drown out hearing my new neighbor practicing her opera voice. Every fucking afternoon. There are two many creative types in my building.

SPECIAL NOTE: Philadelphia has the oldest opera house still in continual use.

mere two subway stops away...

April and May are the two months that I don't turn on the AC or heat and have a two month meager utility bill. After that the AC will be full blast until October. I hate summers in the South!

I have to run my A/C all of the time because I'm on the top floor of a 150 year old building with no attic insulation, plus I have four windows facing west so it gets all of the afternoon sun/heat. Basically it roasts in here when it's only 78F outside, because that will make it at least 85F indoors. My utility bills are atrocious, and this is one welfare queen that gets no public assistance for such things, nor rent assistance nor gubmint cheese. Really the only thing I qualify for is a 50% reduction for public transit which I didn't even know about until last year, so I went 7 years paying full price. Actually more because I could have had a reduction when I was on SS those last three years in NYC, so basically I overpaid for an entire decade.

I putzed around outside the past few days too.
Unfortunately, the neighbor who rents an apartment next door left for the weekend (didn't take her car) and her car has a problem with the alarm.

That thing was honking sporadically for 3 f*cking hours! >:(

Purdy view P.! :)

Don't let it fool you. To see that view I have to shimmy up on a roof top A/C unit, then climb up a ledge to the adjoining roof, then aim my camera north. The actual view from my back roof isn't as impressive :)

Don't let it fool you. To see that view I have to shimmy up on a roof top A/C unit, then climb up a ledge to the adjoining roof, then aim my camera north. The actual view from my back roof isn't as impressive :)
ahh...
deceit followed by admission. :)
lol!

I would like to see the REAL view.

Btw, just to illustrate how amazing and diverse the State of Texas is... It's 37 in Amarillo, 90 here on my porch, and 102degrees 50 miles south of me. Pretty G*ddamned impressive isnt it? I don't know why yall continually try to compete with Texas, it's perpetual fail on your parts.

Um, that sounds like the makings for a tornado.  Make sure to secure your mobile home. .

I just saw on the news that for the next ten days the weather here is 50 degrees and raining and or overcast each day.  Isn't spring grand?

Mobile home? She lives out of her rusted 1972 Mercedes and has 3 boxes of belongings in the trunk. Her iPhone is hitched to a Mexican cellular provider and she can't even send embed pictures in a text message.

Is it too early to complain about the oppressive heat?  We hit 82 yesterday and I couldn't tolerate it.  Over the past several years, I'm getting more adverse to heat.  And now they're calling for above average temperatures this summer.

Being honest is not wronging others, continuing the dishonesty is.
