I love this man’s voice. Yesterday I picked up his third and current studio release AWAKE, and this is one of my favourite songs off of it (so far). Hope you enjoy it too.

I thought I recognised the name. I remember the first time I heard this guy sing (You're Still You) in an episode of Ally Macbeal. Loved his voice then too. I was having a youtube fest with my friend on skype today - now I'm searching through Mr Groban's songs...man, I'll never get to the beach today at this rate! ::)

Daniel, if you liked that one, you'll like this one. You Raise Me Up.

“You Raise Me Up” is from his second CD called CLOSER, and was the first song I heard of his.

Like I just posted in the YT comments section, I love this man's voice. He could sing the phone book and I'd buy a copy.

So far his CD studio releases are:

from 2001 - Josh Groban
from 2003 - CLOSER
and from last year: AWAKE

I loved "You raise me up"..I confess I have no idea who this young man is or where he is from, but his music (especially on this song) reminded me of the Celtic music I listened to growing up.

Beautiful song.

add me to the list of Josh fans.

I've seen him twice in concert now, most recently at Birmingham Symphony Hall where I had a seat in the front row at the side of the stage and caught his eye more than once!

His voice live is even more amazing than on the albums.

And Jan you might like to check out the original version of 'You Raise Me Up' originally done by a group called Secret Garden with Belfast boy, Brian Kennedy on vocals - even more Celtic sounding! If I find a link to it I will add later, if not a google search would probably find it.

Here's that link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDMuTx9LIX0

Daniel......

I would go see Josh in Concert in a heartbeat!!

"Your are loved, don't give up"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDkfSdJWm4c

Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
When your heart's heavy
I...I will lift it for you

Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you
I...I will break it for you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you're lost inside
I...I will be there to find you

Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you
I...I will shine to guide you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved

You are loved
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
Don't give up
Every one needs to be heard
You are loved

What a beautiful song, Daniel.  Thanks.  It should go in the post of "lyric picks and songs that matter."

That's another one on the new CD that I like too, Eric.

It's not quite the same as being there, but here he is performing "You're Still You" in concert (another favourite of mine)
