How has to be the wound?
« on: January 21, 2007, 08:10:44 pm »
Hi,

3 months ago, i have a sexual relation with a prostitute. The relation was vaginal and oral and always was protected with the condom, But... after i commit a mistake, i raise my trousers with the condom set in my penis. This is was about 1 minute. I have fear that the condom stained my interior clothes with the vaginal fluids and then, after my penis was in contact with her vaginal fluids that stained my interior clothes.

Do you think that this could be a real risk?

Sorry for my english :)

This is not a risk in any way shape or form.  You were protected during intercourse.  GOOD JOB!  You have no worries.

It isn't just about contact between your penis and vaginal secretions. It's where and how. During intercourse you had a condom on which covered the head of your penis effectively and prevented vaginal secretions from entering through your urethra.

Even assuming the sex worker you were with is HIV+, and that is a BIG assumption to make, HIV is a fragile virus and would not have been viable from the fabric inside your pants. No way no how.

First of all, i´m sorry for my english. I´ll try that you understand me.

I have read several articles about how has to be a wound in the penis skin, for that the virus can introduce in it. I´m very confused because i have read that the wound in the penis has to be opened and too, the wound has to be bleeding clearly. Is it certain?

I had a wound in my penis (3 milimeters aprox) but the wound was with plasma. The wound hasn´t blood. ¿Can you consider that that wound have no risk?

Thank you so much. ;)

Were you wearing a condom and having penetrative sex anally or vaginally?  Im not real clear on what you were doing with your penis.

If you were wearing a condom you are fine in regards to HIV.  I wouldnt worry anymore over this issue.  Even IF the woman was HIV+ it is extremely tough to transmit HIV from female to male withOUT a condom.  With one on you are good to go.

Still no.  The infectious fluids are mainly located on the cervix not in vaginal fluids, in addition you didnt have a fresh wound either, not to mention you had a condom on as well.

So still no chance.

Condoms provide very effective protection. The main thing is for the head of your penis to have been covered and nothing you have written causes me to think it wasn't.

Your "wound" was not a risk for transmission even IF the person you were with is HIV+. You did not have a freshly open and bleeding wound into which HIV+ bodily fluid was being poured.

Tell your mind to give it a rest. You are worrying needlessly and testing is not necessary.

Cheers,
Andy Velez
