Progress so far
« on: November 21, 2019, 10:18:13 pm »
It's been a month of medication. I'm on biktarvy. I go my I'd doctor in December... like a few days before Christmas... (cant wait to have that on my mind) but it will be my 1st check up since I started biktarvy. The episodes of confusion have lessened since taking the meds.. I dont really see major side effects.. yet... sometimes I feel better with a meal vs without but either is fine. I still feel this incompleteness but I'm trying to get into volunteering. maybe find a way to idk understand?  Or feel or maybe find something I didnt know I needed but I want to visually see and hear others experiences  with this disease.. still haven't told anyone I have it. I'm just excluded  away from everyone.  I have to go to the vampires pretty soon around the 1st week of December.

So until then I look forward to sharing the results.

Wolfie123,

Thank you for your post. It is great to know that you are doing well and coping with your medication.

As for sharing your status, i guess you are doing the right thing. Give time some time, and be really careful about who you decide to share this private information with. At the end, its your privacy and you have the full right in protecting it, whether with HIV or without it.

Depending on your geographic location, group discussions are helpful in bridging the isolation gap while being mindful that you are not alone. Different experiences enhance our personal perspective especially at weak times.

Wishing you all the best with your lab results and dr. appointment.

Prince

Maybe a support group? Although they are not for everyone. I joined one soon after my diagnosis and was more problematic than therapeutic! There were between 10 to 15 guys (maybe 13 of them gay) and one lady... But the lack of personal responsibility, taking charge of your situation, blaming others for their HIV, made it useless. "He told me he was clean...", "I only had sex once...". I went maybe three times and never returned. I haven't disclosed but to those in a need to know basis and I find solace, information and a niche here... Keep it up... And there is a vast amount of resources here.. At the tip of your fingers..
Today January 20, 2020, I have taken 2378 pills of my ARV since first pill. This means 79 bottles of 30 pills of ARVs at an average of $3950 per bottle or $313,103 USD for my treatment. I have a compliance of 99.83% taking my meds and only .17% (or 4 pills) non-compliant. Of these four pills two I forgot completely, One I lost and one I didn't have with me while traveling! I became UD 3 months after treatment start   ***We are all dealing with this. And we will live long and productive lives!! AND, yes the Lord is my shepherd. Life is good... And thanks for the meds! ***

Hey Wolfie,

Just checking on you!  I understand the feeling.  How are you now?  Please reach out. I was started on Biktarvy and had my first follow up in January (a good follow up).
