I dont know where to begin.. i guess the first thing i should mention is that i suffer from health anxiety and OCD (which often "latches" onto health related stuff)
I had a.... lets a very strange encounter.. i will try to describe what happened.
10 days ago me and my classmate went to the city for some beers and we REALLY overdid it.. i was hammered drunk and while walking home i had a drunken fall which ended up with a busted lip. My lip was swollen but it was not actively bleeding. But there had to be some sort of a wound because after i woke up the day later i had a scab.
About 1 and half hour after my fall i was walking home using a forest road.. there i met a very strange guy, he looked clean and normal but he told me he has no home and he decided to walk with me and talk about random stuff.. he was asking me for money too for food but i had none.. thing is i was extremely thirsty and nearly collapsed.. i asked him if he has some water...
He then pulled out some sort of a spray bottle.. told me its a "sports spray for energy", normally i would not use unknown substance like that but i was way too drunk and way too thirsty so i let him spray it in my mouth, it tasted like salt water ... i have no freaking idea what it was...
Now comes my health anxiety... my lip was busted and the substance also made contact with my lip.. and now i keep thinking about stuff like what if he was some psycho and decided to mix his blood or sperm with the spray ? i have never seen or heard of a "sport spray" that tastes like salt water.. i have no idea what it was...
I know this all sounds insane but im ridden with anxiety for the past 10 days.. So all im really interested about is if there is an actual risk of infection this way.. Could a mixture of blood/sperm and possible salt water sprayed onto a injury such as busted lip carry a risk ?
I keep reading about this on the internet but my case is so strange that i cant really find much info... all i found was that one guy said that he only heard about a "blood to wound" infection when two people had a knife fight and huge amounts of blood entered a very deep open wound...
I know im probably worrying for nothing...
Should i just try to get this out of my head ? Is there a real reason i should get tested after some months because of this encounter ?
Another thing that makes me anxious is that i have long covid.. i get cold like symtoms almost every single week since i recovered from covid.. random days... i today i just got them again.. no fever but my joints hurt and i frequently sneeze.. again, this happens to me every week. But now after that encounter i keep thinking "oh.. now you have acute HIV symptoms.."
So is there any risk ?.. if any... ?
I swear im not trolling, im a very anxious person and now im convinced there is a HIV risk because of that encounter..
So yeah.. unknown salty substance sprayed on busted lip...

Reading your post, I was hoping you were going to tell me that you had said;
What great big ears you have, dude!.” and that the dude in the forest replied; “All the better to hear you with”
Jim Allen:
Anyhow, joking aside, I did read your post three times.
It's not a unique question, and you had no HIV risk from the events posted here. Drink less and prehaps avoid walking around the forest paths at night.
Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks: Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV
Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.
Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.
Kind regards
Jim
