My breasts are huge
« on: July 02, 2014, 09:09:41 pm »
My breasts are growing by the minute due to the meds I am on Kaletra and Abacavir. Currently a G-cup.  I do not want to go to an H.  Has anyone had breast reduction surgery in the U.S.?  I'm serious.  Are there plastic surgeons willing to do this for HIV+ patients?  I have health insurance, does anyone know if insurance covers it?

Both myself and my daughter are also facing the same problem. It is not fun at all.
I hope there are many options for you in the USA. Try to ask your doctor for a referral. I am sure he/she will help you.  I am always waiting for responses on this forum on where i can be assisted.

Good luck .

Here's an example of a policy bulletin from Aetna insurance to give you an idea of what to look for/ ask for when talking with your insurance company. However, why not enlist your prescribing doc and staff and see what info/help they can offer.
