Got tested + in February
« on: June 09, 2019, 10:52:12 am »
Hi everyone, I got tested positive in February and I plan to go to Bangkok for the blood test and to buy medication, cause while in America I was taking Genvoya and then had to switch to Descovy and Tivicay for the time being. Hopefully my VL test that I plan to do in Bangkok will be fine but I’ll see what’s gonna be. My VL in March was 207 and I got HIV in October of 2018. I read it’s very low.

If anyone can suggest a doctor in Thai Red Cross I’d really appreciate it.  Also if you could tell me how many days I should plan to be in Bangkok for the blood test and everything else that would be great too. I heard there are other private hospitals in Bangkok that would do the same thing and much quicker but the expenses are very high as far as I can tell but suggest me otherwise if you have more information.  I heard there are other private hospitals in Bangkok that would do the same thing and much quicker but the expenses are very high as far as I can tell but suggest me otherwise if you have more information. Hi buddy,

I live in Bkk, I think you can find all the answers to your questions about Thai Red Cross here: https://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=72285.0

Personally I don’t know docs at Thai Red Cross but a very good HIV doctor is Dr. Anuwat Keerasuntonpong at Bumrungrad hospital.

Good luck

If I get all the tests at Thai Cross can I bring them to Bumrungrad hospital to HIV doctor for a consultation?

Of course, why not? BTW, you can book an appointment with the dr. online from the website or calling. Just for the sake of clarity, please note that I’m simply a patient and in no way associated with/supporting any hospital/doctor. You can chose whatever doctor you feel comfortable with, I only give advise out of my own personal experience.
