The apology issued by the bank is bullshit BTW. I would have accepted "Sorry we did not realize the impact this has and, we will change our procedure" however that's not the answer they gave to the newspaper, it is simple PR bullshit.

their response should have been "Sorry we did not realize the impact this has and let's see how we can help you get that mortgage and put you and your family into a home."

The Bank of Ireland reached out to the journalist saying they want to look into my case and, asking for my details ...  ::) I told her no interest for now in being contacted by the bank.
