Also, as a side note, I never realized how cute that guy is...I hear his brother Prince William being compared a lot to JFK, Jr. and I do think he is goodlooking.  However, Harry I think is underrated.  Both are probably good guys...just a matter of what your taste is I guess.

But more importantly, should Harry go to Iraq?  I have mixed feelings on this one.

No, he should not go.  He may WANT to be treated like any other army officer, but the fact is that he is NOT like any other army officer.  He is royalty and therefore will have a big, fat red target on his back.  His presence would most definitely put everyone around him at greater risk.  While one may want to applaud his desire, I actually see it as the height of selfishness on his part.
I was in Iraq way back in 1991 -- a different time and a different conflict -- and I know that I would never have wanted a "celebrity" to serve with me.

I do agree that he is somewhat underrated in the looks department.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this question is of any importance to anyone, outside of the Royal Household.

I would also be more concerned for the families in Basra, who are dealing with children who are totally deformed, and suffering all kinds of cancers; due only to ours and Englands' Plutonium enriched armaments which were used in the desecration of their towns and farmlands.  Anyone serving time in Basra in the military of England are also going to be subject to this senseless and immoral use of radiation in the furtherance of our LUST FOR MORE OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet he's gutted - he went through officer training at Sandhurst expecting to be deployed. Now his troop are going to Iraq, and he isn't.

I don't even think he's much of a risk to the guys he's serving with. If General Dannett hadn't opened his fat yap to tell the world we were thinking of sending him/not sending him/sending him/not sending him and treated him like an ordinary soldier then nobody would know he was there. He'd just be another second lieutenant covered in camouflage paint. Instead now, wherever he goes he's going to have a batallion of journos camped out after him.

After that stunt that Iran pulled, and all the wanking about that caused, we could have at least got this one right. There was no pressure apart from the media, and once again the MoD fucked it up.
