Cannot contain my joy!
« on: September 07, 2016, 11:00:30 am »
Hi everyone,

Today was me best doctor appointment ever!

VL UD since june!  8)

Even better, my doctor switch reyataz for Prezista to deal with the slight yellowing in my eyes and slight liver inflamation. This was the best news ever. I had gotten used to it by now but every morning I would check to see how yellow I was looking that day. He explained that now that the virus is under control we could switch. Its two pills instead of one, so now I am up to four pills taken at the same time by night. This does not bother me at all.

I can see my doctor has my best interest in mind.

So a little encouragement to all of us newbies, MEDS WORK! the day does come!

Stay strong everyone!!!

I never liked reyataz it was too bad that you couldn't take atripla. I still think that at 3 plan is a good treatment are some people I am taking persistent and I'm glad you have this medication option. What else are you going to be taking?... Again congratulations I'm very happy for you and keep us posted. abrazos

I am so happy to see these kind of postings!!  I can not wait till I can post that my VL is undetectable which we are hoping that will be the case on Monday, if not at least by next month.

Congratulations!!!!

Great news, well done.
I think I will be in the same boat, just waiting on test results. My vl went from 190000 to 55 in my first 6 weeks.
It's now been 4 months so fingers crossed I am undetectable.
I feel amazing and so fresh.
Well done again. Hope to be joining you

Last night I reflected on my situation. Its good to take a few minutes once in a while to be in the moment.

I thought about all the people who have made efforts for me to be able to be on meds and UD today. Doctors, nurses, researchers but mainly older generations of poz patients. Although I know there are still chances of bumps on the road ahead, I know now things have come a long way. You are in my thoughts and I will be forever grateful.

Oh, and all the patients who are having setbacks, hang in there. You are in my thoughts too.

There is so much to be done and hopefully we will see a cure in our lifetime.

In the meantime I invite you to contribute to the cause in whatever measure is practical to you. I have taken up peer counseling (thank you @leatherman for helping me find the word for it in english). When I tested positive someone took the time to take me through it, answer my calls, went to the doctors office first couple of times and became a good friend. This is the least I can do to give back.

I dream of a better world.

Have a great week everyone. Stay strong!

Welcome to the 'UD' club!! Meds do work!
Today January 20, 2020, I have taken 2378 pills of my ARV since first pill. This means 79 bottles of 30 pills of ARVs at an average of $3950 per bottle or $313,103 USD for my treatment. I have a compliance of 99.83% taking my meds and only .17% (or 4 pills) non-compliant. Of these four pills two I forgot completely, One I lost and one I didn't have with me while traveling! I became UD 3 months after treatment start   ***We are all dealing with this. And we will live long and productive lives!! AND, yes the Lord is my shepherd. Life is good... And thanks for the meds! ***
