I'm old enough to be your mom therefore I will share with you what I would do were I you!

I don't think we have a bundle of young LA-based women on the forum---I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Two things: first, make a connection with the Well Project - if I recall correctly they're based in LA and all about supporting HIV positive women.

Second, as whacky as it sounds, go on the Personals site, look up women who are your age and in LA and send a note. Let them know your intentions -- some will wonder if you're a lesbian and want a relationship different than friendship -- just be clear. I'm not asking of what stripe you are but I'm guessing you're straight.

I am looking for other HIV-positive women in the LA area to correspond with and possibly get together for coffee. It would be nice to find some positive women as friends. Or, if you know of a support group that you could tell me about, that would be good, too.
