Fenway Park and a great crowd, including a lady from New Zealand

This past Monday night eight of us went to Boston's very classic and very old Fenway Park...It is certainly a great venue to see a game, what with rabid, knowledgeable fans and an electric environment.

Also Jan got to see a baseball game, she always had wanted to go and it was a perfect place, especially after we moved her to a seat not blocked off by a pole !!!  We had hot dogs with mustard and relish and it was very cool to share a ballpark tradition with our beloved lady from Down Under.

The Red Sox won an exciting contest, there were several home runs over the Green Monster, the left field wall so imposing for pitchers.  The wooden seats were clearly built for shorter folks who must have been the norm in 1912 when it was built.  So standing for the many hits and the between innings entertainment wasn't so bad since I could hardly fit in the seat !!!

It was a very nice way to spend an evening in Boston, and the great company as always.

It certainly was a great time -- thanks, Jody, for getting those 8 tickets!
Of course, who can forget Jan's excitement after her first "wave" -- quickly followed by her second and third, as it kept circling the stadium.
Also -- Jan waited many innings to sing "Sweet Caroline" -- and seemed to enjoy this almost as much as the game.
It was a great night.

I still think that bus you and I waited for STILL hasn't made it to the bus stop yet!  The evening was quite memorable for me as well.

Ah yes, there I was, squeezed in between Robert and Ernie. Talk about a Manwich!

I'll always have fond memories of sharing a sausage with Ernie, Curtis and Robert. Then, while squeezed between Ernie and Robert, Robert gently put his nuts in my hand - peanuts that is.

Robert also shared my love of photography when we ogled, er, um, looked at some of the closeup shots I managed to get of some of the ball players.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without Jody. It is a memory I will always cherish.
