Two months on Atripla and UD!!!!!
« on: January 25, 2011, 04:05:53 pm »
 ;D

However, my CD4's went down from 600 to 444 within one month. Is this normal?

It can happen but assuming something is "normal" or "irregular" is to assume that we know how your body is trending when it's not being tested for CD4 on a regular basis, which I'm going to assume you don't?  I wouldn't worry about it unless you get a couple of draws in a row where there is a downward trend.  With that said 444 is still a respectable number.

Congrats on the quick UD.  Did you have your labs done around the same time of day?

No. Last time I got my labs done around 11PM at night. Kaiser stays open pretty late. This time I got them done around 11AM in the morning. My VL went from 103k to a whopping 80 in one month and now UD!. So I guess I should expect my CD4's to climb back up now? my Doc didn't seem to be worried about the drop at all.

Congrats on the UD.  When I switched to Atripla I noticed slight improvement in numbers.  My cd4 usually hovers between what you stated and has jumped from 660 to 420's.  My doctor says it's completely normal to have some spikes and dips.  In the scheme of things, it's not too bothersome.

Thanks. Yeah, my doctor informed that now since I am UD expect my CD4's to definitely go up. And she said depending on the time of day -- (usually in the mornings) CD4's are expected to be low -- versus when in the evenings, when they are MUCH higher.

My last CD4 count was taken at 11PM at night (prior to the results I have now) and they were well over 600. My recent ones were done at 9AM, so which could explain the huge difference.
