Hi All,

Few days back I had pretected sex with CSW. I put on condoms. I did not notice any condom breakage.
But what is worrying is :
   1. Is there any condom breakage and I did not notice.
   2. Are thre some small tiny holes I got infected ..

What to do now..?

Small holes in condoms are an urban myth. When a condom fails it is quite obvious. Most often in fact it ends up looking like a hoop with fringe on the penis. It is NOT about itty bitty holes as people so often fear.

Hi All,

I have vaginal sex with CSW last weekend. I was drunk. I did not notice the condom properly. Now I am scared if there was tiny holes in the condom. I did not feel any breakage on the condom. Is this possible that the condom broke and I did not feel or notice. Please help. I am worried.

One more thing, I fingered the SW and I had tiny cut in the finger. Is that possible that I get infection by this activity?

You are worrying needlessly. When a condom fails it is not about itty bitty little holes. It's very clear what has happened because it looks like a fringed hoop on your penis.

So your condom didn't break.

Fingering, even with a tiny cut on your finger is not a risk either.

All you need to know about sexual risk for HIV is that only unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse are risks for transmission. That's it. Use a condom everytime and you will be well protected. It really is just that simple.

You had the same exact question last time you were here. Did you think our answers were going to change? They're not.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER PROTECTED INTERCOURSE, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

To be clear, NO, you do not need to test specifically because you had protected sex with a sex worker. However, as a sexually active adult, you should be having a complete sexual health check up at least once a year. It's what responsible adults do.

2. I did finguring with scratch in my fingur..Is this a risk?

1. No, the "tiny holes" myth is simply that, a myth. Condoms provide excellent protection against HIV.

2. Fingering, with or without scratches, cuts, ingrown hairs, cannot transmit HIV.

3. Sucking a nipple is NOT an HIV concern.

An adult heterosexual male can completely protect himself against HIV in a sexual situation by wearing a condom for penetrative vaginal or anal sex. You did that, which is admirable.

You have not had an HIV risk in any way whatsoever.
