Signal-to-cutoff (s/co) testing is a bit like a confirmatory test, in the event standard antibody testing is reactive to hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibodies in the blood.  A s/co of 28.69 suggests a high level of reactivity, confirming infection with HCV.

While s/co is useful for determining the "true" antibody status, what's needed now is a virologic test -- such as PCR -- to look for evidence of actual HCV replication in your liver.  This requires the use of widely available PCR testing.
