  • Hi...
My daughter is a teen. She does not have HIV. She has stopped having her menstral cycles in March this year. She is not pregnant. She has had blood work done and her organs, ect... Are fine. Her doctor talked to her, checked her spine, ect...
It worries me that maybe the doctors aren't seeing something.
Does anyone here have an idea of what could be going on? When we move next year I know the hospital/medical system is better there. I haven been thinking on this for months already though.
I just think the doctors here are somewhat relaxed.

Hi Idee,

No female reproductive training, but I'm posting as this is not uncommon and there is considerable information available online. Here's a link to some info to get started http://pms.about.com/od/absenceofmenstruation/a/causes_amenorrh.htm

And, in the for whatever it's worth category, my second period came nearly ten months after the first.

There's more information online. If you think the docs are too relaxed, find a female gyn you like for a second opinion.

Em

  • Hi...
If her cycle just starts up again I'll just look at it like at least she had a break for a while. She usually gets really ill with headaches, the cramps, and vomiting.
