I was in SF on business, regretfully couldn't join the group as my schedule was at the fate of my prospective employers. But I did manage to drop by Powell and meet a handful people...Lisa, Mark, David, Robert, JR and a few others who were hanging outside the hotel. I was unsure about meeting a bunch of strangers but after meeting you guys, and the warmest, reassuring hug from Lisa, I felt I belonged to this family.

Hey Paulo....

I'm so glad you posted.  I was thinking of you the other day and forgot your name (it's an AIDS thing....)  I had posted a picture of all of us outside the hotel and you were there.  It was great you stopped by, even for just a few minutes.  LIttle acts of kindness like that go such a long way.   

Good luck with your house hunt.  Get something close to work.  When I left SF last week I drove down to Fremont, 24 miles away.  It took 1 1/2 hours.  If you do the math, it comes to 16 mph....FREEWAY DRIVING!!!

I remember you well. I am so glad the job hunt went successfully. I hope the housing hunt goes as well for you.

Of course you realize that once you're a part of the family, you're stuck with us.  ;)

It was great to meet you!  Glad to hear you got the job!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the well wishes! I got everything settled...new job, got the apartment, and now just have to drive cross country. It's good to have some things do go your way despite our health adversities. And yes JR, will definitely keep in touch.
