If you have had unprotected sex you have had a risk.  It is a good idea to get tested.  That being said, symptoms or the lack of symptoms cannot tell you your HIV status.  Only testing at the approprate time will.

3 months after your last exposure.  Which you are past.  ARS symptoms don't last for an entire year, so that doesnt have anything to do with your symptoms.

Also remember that HIV is fragile and difficult to transmit especially from female to male so those odds are in your favor.  Go test and collect your result.

miami,

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus and more so from a woman to a man, so chances are good that you were not infected by one incident of unprotected intercourse. Saying that, you have had a risk and you do need to test. Symptoms or even the lack of symptoms mean nothing when it comes to hiv infection. The ONLY way to know your status is to test.

A test now will be conclusive. I suggest you test and get it over with. Hiv is nothing to guess about.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms and avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

thanks for the quick answer!!! oh and i forgot something.. a couple of days ago i chatted with this girl again.. and tried to talk about the subject.. well.. she got pregnant a couple of months after being with me.. (not mine hehe) and she gave birth a couple of weeks ago.. if she had hiv that means her kid has it also? when a child is born.. do doctors find out if the child is infected automatically or not? i asked if everything was allright and she said yes.

Dont try to use the child as a diagnostic tool regarding your HIV status.  The only way to know for sure is to get tested.  Which you should do.

HIV status is NEVER something to guess about. Although the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor that you will test negative. you still need to test and get your own answer.

And everytime you have intercourse, no matter whom it is with, you need to be wearing a latex condom. NO EXCEPTIONS!
