Hello, Ive been looking for information about the hiv risks of giving oral sex to a woman unprotected. From what Ive read most information given is "extremely low risk" and "one or two" known cases where unprotected oral-vaginal caused hiv infection to the person going down.

Basically I wanna know what "extremely low" means. Is it something I should be worried about or is it only a very rare case where infection can even happen this way.

Going down on a woman isn't a risk for hiv infection in the real world. There have only been one or two suspected incidents of transmission in this manner in over twenty five years of this pandemic. You don't need to be worried.

While you don't need to test over this specific incident, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs. As long as you are using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return negative results.
