Finally watching this creamsicle fest. Love it. Just in the middle of the first season.
As with all reality shows, its fun to try to glimpse the real guys behind the scripts and performances. I like Rodiney the best cause either hes a either great actor or he really is dim, adorable and sincere. He has a great puppy face trying to figure out relationships and intimacy. (Does he have some sort of major scar on his right jaw line - cleverly hid most of the time?)
I like the bitch Ryan, for being a bitch and having some standards of social politeness despite his delusions. The married hairdresser is kind, I wish we would see more of that daddy boyfriend who seems to have set up his boytoy so luxuriously.
Reichen's mother was cute. How old is this guy anyway?
I looked on the net and the original title was something about "kept boys" and if we saw more hints about the finances behind the relationships it would be fun. Maybe even if it was more meta and addressed the reality show itself and how much it sets up all the illusions and how they are dealing with that.
Best line so far: Episode 4: "Jason's been in the city two weeks and we've had a good time but i want to take him out to Fire Island one more time so we can get away from all the guys and all the drama." Austin.

Finally, this Rodiney was a killjoy. But I still like his latin presence.
I understand the principle. It is a cast. So they all have to deal with each other cause thats the show. A lot of the drama about who is or isnt "friends" or "old friends" or BFF or whatever, isn't satisfying because its so patently fake. I guess Ryan and JT are the only real friends. But also makes me think about american friendship, so thats interesting. I mean you CAN become friends pretty easily in the states.
Can't they try to do some real projects for themselves or together? Reichen and Rodiney are the only one's trying to figure out how to make money. Ryan and Mike I guess are supposed to be successful in their work. Oh and now JT - does he have a new "real" job? I guess all their jobs are really being on this show.
Finally also I really can't stand this character Austin "plays" because its so mixed up. He carries too much narrative weight in the show.
I'd like to see bitch Derek deal with a "real" lover - can't they hire someone already!!!? He's not completely unfuckable. He's needs a good fucking so badly!

Regardless of why I decided to get involved with Derek or The ‘A’ List I’m glad I did. Our pretend boyfriend scam…it was fun. Even though I have been portrayed as a smelly old man.

The worst of the bunch has to be Derek. As you will see tonight (if you can be bothered) I enjoy ribbing him on camera. I used stock lines, old jokes that an overly sensitive American queen did not find very funny.
When the food arrives I say, “That looks like something that came out of your nose.” That’s funny isn’t it? I used it before and my friends laughed.

Garrett said the incident reflects a troubling mindset.
