We had a call from Steve last night that Bob was found on the floor of his kitchen sitting with a blank stare, a bump on his head, unresponsive. When the para medics came, he attacked them. Finally sudued, he was taken to the hospital.
We are afraid it could be •Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML), a viral infection of the brain.
This is what took our friend Jim a couple of years ago.
But until something concrete is known thats just speculation.

I hope not, Joel. That is indeed bad news....
Sending up prayers and well-wishes for your friend....

I hope it isn't PML. I will send positive energy for Bob and Steve.
-
Hey Joel,
I'm wondering if you've heard anything about Bob? I hope he's doing well.
-
Hi Betty...
Yes.
Kurt and I were in Hudson New Yiork over the weekend but kept up with Bob on Facebook.
Her is the latest entry.
"Bob Update: Off Vent. Still lethargic, able to talk a bit tho hard, and garbled a bit. Lingering effect of the sedative which is not cleared as fast with the kidney disease. Dialysis treatment this afternoon may help that. All in all, steady progress." quote Don

Geeze, poor guy. :-\
-
Joel, was it the PML? or something else? ???

Dennis...
I dont think there has been a real diagnosis. Docs are still just responding to his symptoms.

Ok well, if bob is breathing on his own, and he's up & alert, that is a very good sign ;)

Mikie...
He had a seizure of some sort, fell down a flight of stairs and exhibited signs of having had a stroke, because he lost some motor control and speech. But in the end, he was sent home with no diagnosis.
Just goes to show you, doctors arent miracle makers.
