condom failure and scared
« on: October 27, 2013, 04:10:40 am »

I have made 2 or 3 mistakes. 11 days before I had sex with  one koren prostitute after heavy drinking.the condom which she brought was not branded and it was not costly. she put condom in a wrong way too i think. she drag the face of condom with fingers and insert hardly. then i inserted for 1 min then i took her legs close together  and pushed max 1 min.  maybe this will make friction and chance to break.  Then she put some jell in her vagina and  i again started pushing.
after 2 min i felt a cold strange sensation in my penis now i think it is because of condom faliure. I don't have condom break experience in my life. with in 2 minute I doubted and pulled out.    After 3 days of this incident my lower arms started burning .  4th day started groin  pain  and inner theigh pain and buring sensation. difficult to walk. some times my  armpit lymph nodes are swollen now i have pain in whole body it coming and going one place to another.   when i feel pain there  i can find a lymph node.  it will go after 5 min. now i feel pain in spinal code,   stiffness in back and sinus infection.  maybe i will get more symptoms very soon.  joint pain also started today in knees.

I am scared because  geting these symptoms that is  a proof  for condom failure.
Next month 19th is my marriage date. now i am avoing her from sex. i dont want to kill her.  our familis are doing arrangements for our marriage  .  please advise me i i want to do .  can i get an answer from a viral load test?  can I do sex with her and  move with marriage.

Mathews,

Protected intercourse is NOT a risk for hiv infection.

A broken condom is VERY obvious and you would have noticed when you removed it from your penis. I very much doubt that your condom broke.

Some lubricants made for sexual activities include ingredients that can cause hot or cold sensations. This is to increase your pleasure - and she may well have used something like this to make you cum quicker, to get it over with.

If you are still worried about the condom breaking, you can test with a standard antibody test at six weeks. Viral load tests are NOT diagnostic tests and any result - positive or negative - must be confirmed with antibody testing at the appropriate time.

I've yet to see the insertive partner end up hiv positive following a condom break, but other STIs are another matter. You can test for most of them ten days to two weeks following an incident, but syphilis shares a three month testing window with hiv for a conclusive negative result.

Regarding your wife to be...

1. You two should NOT be having unprotected intercourse until such time as you have BOTH had COMPLETE sexual health check ups, including but not limited to hiv testing.

2. Even if against all odds you have been infected with hiv through this encounter, you will NOT "kill her". Please drag yourself into the 21st century where hiv is no longer a death sentence and effective treatments are widely available.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Mathews,

Broken condoms are NOT about "tiny holes". When they break it is VERY obvious and you would have noticed.

Nothing you have reported health-wise sounds remotely like primary hiv infection. If you feel unwell, see a doctor. It's nothing to do with hiv.

Regarding your upcoming marriage, as I already said to you, you should BOTH have a COMPLETE sexual health check up before you stop using condoms. It's what responsible, sexually active adults do to protect their own health and that of their partners.

"I am not too much worried about other STI .coz there is medicines" There are also medicines for hiv. Stop the drama.

There is only 4 week time to marriage and this incident. it is not enough to get a answer and last movement i can not withdrew from marriage.
it is difficult to say her to use protection with her.
I like to believe your opinion that it is not hiv. and  it is
difficult to infect a man even if there is condom failure.
