Title: Ryan White with insurance
Post by: Niceguy2013 on February 01, 2014, 09:37:12 pm
I recently signed up for insurance through my employer, but the plan I could afford only covers the first $200 and then has a deductible of $1200 before they pay 70%.

I have been fortunate enough to have care through Ryan White the past year.  My doctor assured me that Ryan White could still help with checkups and lab work costs and fill the gap in my coverage.  Has anyone else had experience with this type of situation?

It might depend on your location.  In Colorado, every April, I get $10,000.  This goes to pay premiums, deductible, co-insurance, co-pays, and the ADAP formulary.

I'm in TN and Ryan White covers up to 1500 a month toward my premiums and deductibles. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
