Change of Symptoms with Time
« on: October 02, 2007, 12:16:27 pm »
My first time to try this so I am learning. My question is this, I am Pos and just recently diagnosed. I've noticed changes in my vision recently which I can only attribute to HIV. Also, I;ve developed some heart problems out of nowhere which we are investigating.

Do some of these type of thing (if they are in fact caused by the HIV Infection) get better with treatment as the viral load goes down, or do they stabliize or is it a continuous downward run???

Very curious.

Hi Otto,  what were your #'s  if your T's are lower than 200, you might want to go to an opthomologist.  changes in vision can be atributed to CMV virus, an opportunistic infection, which can lead to blindness if not treated.  not to scare you, just give you info  good luck.

Hello Otto,

If you have never had an eye exam, it would probably be wise to get one. How old are you ?

Hey Otto,

There are opportunistic infections that may affect vision. What are your CD4 numbers?

As Ray said, the best thing to do is to have an eye exam. People who are positive should have them regularly anyway, but especially if you have noticed changed or are experiencing problems.

HUGS,

Mark
