Tooth in food

Can you please help with the below question please. I was eating steak and chips in a restaurant, I noticed something hard when I was chewing and on further inspection this was a small part of a broken tooth. I have a cracked tooth in the area I was chewing, on inspection the crack appears to now be on the back of the tooth, I was already aware of the side. I however didn’t feel the tooth breaking. I did not see any tooth on my plate. I ate the steak and chips with a fork, so I am not sure how I could have balanced a tooth on the fork, unless it was already in the steak( which does not make sense). If this is a third parties cracked tooth, am I now at risk from HIV, can the virus been transmitted from a cracked tooth. This was a very good restaurant in London, could they put a tooth in your food?

It's not an HIV risk, relax.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.  Consider starting PrEP as an additional layer of HIV prevention going forward.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as safe in terms of HIV might still pose a risk for transmission of other far easier to acquire STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Dear Sir, thank you for your reply. Would it be a HIV risk if the third person was positive and I had put the cracked tooth in my mouth with the food, or would this still be a no risk from a HIV standpoint?.

I am however not sure how the tooth got into the plate and I managed to transfer it to mouth with a fork. I guess the likely conclusion is that it was my own tooth if I did not see it on the plate. I just do not know for sure.

Look rephrasing the question is not going to change the answer.

Who knows, it also doesn't matter in terms of HIV.  You should check with your dentist regarding the condition/repair of your tooth.
