Our latest My Space Blog - NEKKED
« on: July 17, 2007, 01:03:10 pm »
Besides a short stint in Chicago,  we've both lived in Columbus since 1988 but after a two year hiatus from the bar scene we felt like new meat when we ventured out to Q Bar Friday night to see NEKKED sing live. When we arrived we were  visually eaten alive by the stragglers left over from Friday happy hour.  We grabbed the best seats in the place and a drink. As we waited for NEKKED to arrive we made small talk with talking up the music and OutQ. We first heard NEKKED on Sirius Satellite Radio OutQ station 109 and then as My Space friends. We hadn't been to a bar since Jeff's PML diagnosis but he's doing much better and seeing NEKKED live in person was an opportunity we wouldn't miss. To our disappointment Q Bar didn't do much advertising so there was a dismal turnout. WHAT'S UP COLUMBUS? The gay community here just isn't what it use to be. Oh well that's my rant now back to the show. From his seat Jeffrey saw the car pull up and the guys unload. Once the studs in kilts entered the bar the rest of the customers knew NEKKED was there. Once some technical issues were resolved Sinn and JC took front and center. Except for one song, they sang all the songs from their CD "A Barrier of Skin" With the best seats in the bar we watched their every move and Jeffrey sang along as they entertained us. We hope they return to Columbus maybe at a different venue because we'll be there! They had a 2nd Ohio performance on Saturday and if it wasn't three hours north we would have been there too.

NEKKED is great on the eyes and ears so what are you waiting for go check them out!
