Any risk?
« on: July 20, 2017, 11:48:52 am »
Hello: I had sex with another guy. He told me that he was on Pep to not catch aids. We performed oral sex on each other, no precum visible from his penis. He wanted to penetrate me without a condom, but I requested one. So, anal sex was with a condom, he came on me with the condom on and he masturbated me at the same time. Condom was intact when he pulled out. We french kissed as well
Did I have any risks, do I need to test?

Receiving unprotected oral sex is not a risk for HIV infection.  Performing unprotected oral sex on a male is a theoretical only risk for HIV and would require that open and gaping wounds in the "performer's" mouth be present.  However, unprotected oral sex of any kind can expose a person to other STD's/STI's.

Protected anal sex did not put you at risk for HIV infection.

Kissing did not put you at risk for HIV infection.

Summary:  you had no viable risk of HIV infection because of the activities you have described in your post.

Yeah, its got nothing to do with you, and it does not change your no risk.

The only thing that matters is your own behaviours and if that lead to a viable route for HIV transmission.  Patrick has given you all the information you need.

You're welcome.

For risk assessment purposes, the moderators of this forum presume that someone of unknown status is positive, regardless of claims that he or she is "negative," or on PrEP or PEP, whatever (though if he was, in fact, on PEP, one could presume that he had previously engaged in a risk activity that led to a concern that he may have been exposed to the HIV).

As to his desire to not use a condom, you were correct to insist he did:  it is ultimately your responsibility to assure that you engage in safer sex.
